AAM Aadmi Party – Why the party with a difference is no different?
The AAM Aadmi Party has lost it again. Delhi is down with Chikungunya and Dengue, people are dying due to the epidemic, government hospitals don’t have enough beds for patients. A time of crisis, but where is the crisis management team? The Chief Minister is busy undergoing treatment for his er… long tongue which is the main cause of his chronic cough. The Deputy CM is holidaying in Finland. The Health Minister is googling and proudly claiming Chikungunya never causes death. Delhi is governed by the AAM Aadmi Party. The Aam Aadmi is sufferring and the government is busy partying. This is not the only case. The AAP (AAM Aadmi Party) government has time and again failed in their governance. They had made huge promises to the people that they are here to change the politics. But they have become the worst kind of politicians, worse than most of the political parties in India.
It all started when India against Corruption (IAC) started protesting against the corruption and scandals of the previous Congress Government. It was the first time the common people of India came on the streets to protest against the then government. They found new hope in people like Anna Hazare and Arvind Kejriwal. The first time common man of India felt he was empowered. But political ambitions took over and the team split. Arvind Kejriwal and his supporters formed the AAM Aadmi Party much against the wish of Anna Hazare. Soon, the new party fought the Delhi Election and formed government with a “not unconditional” support by Congress. Yes, the support was from the same congress government against which the entire anti-corruption crusade was started which made Arvind Kejriwal an overnight hero. The government lasted for only 49 days and Kejriwal was labelled a “Bhagoda” in social media. AAP then fought the general elections only to face a massive defeat. The 2014 elections created history with NDA sweeping the elections and BJP becoming the single largest party. Shri Narendra Modi was elected the Prime Minister of India. It was his magic which had worked in favour of BJP and NDA. Then came the Delhi elections and AAP got an unprecedented victory. They formed the government again and Arvind Kejriwal became the CM of Delhi once again.
Once the AAP government was formed, Kejriwal shift his focus from the fight against corruption to ridiculing Modi Government for each and everything. Soon, Delhi started witnessing the other side of AAP. They started supporting politicians who have grave corruption charges against their name. Kejriwal’s infamous photo in which he was hugging Lalu Prasad Yadav, probably one of the most corrupt politician in India, created a huge social buzz. The only Agenda left with AAP and Kejriwal was to blame Modi for everything that happens in the country. Instead of the people of Delhi their whole focus shifted to minority appeasement. Forget fulfilling the election promises, they even failed to provide basic infrastructure to Aam Aadmi of Delhi. For all their failures they blamed the LG and Modi. Soon, various corruption and criminal charges brought against various AAP ministers. The most serious of them were the offences against Women. Whenever somebody questioned AAP, the AAP ministers and leaders including their supremo labelled him/her a Modi or a BJP Agent. Journalists questioning them are even called Dalals of BJP. If a Journalist praises them, they swell with pride, but when the same Journalist questions them, he/she becomes a thorn in their eye. Those AAP leaders who spoke against the wrongdoings of Kejriwal and his sycophants were thrown out of the party.
Coming back to the current mess in Delhi, the Deputy CM Manish Sisodia not only refused to come back to Delhi in the midst of the health crisis, he even extended his stay. There were pictures of him showing he was busy sight seeing in Finland at the expense of the Tax payers’ money. AAP Supporters also known as AAPTards compare his visit to Narendra Modi’s visit. But they fail to see Narendra Modi is the Prime Minister and he is doing exactly what he is supposed to do. He has ministers who are accountable and take care of everything in his absence unlike the AAP Ministers. Delhi is practically without any leader and the people of Delhi have been left at their own mercy. AAPTards and AAP Ministers are busy playing blame game on Social media. Aam Aadmi is no longer a priority for the AAM Aadmi Party. A Party which claimed to be a Party with a Difference is no different from other Political Parties in India.
The Aam Aadmi definitely needs a change and they have now to work hard to bring the change they want instead of relying on such political parties for whom their own benefits are the topmost priority.
